영과 진리로 예배하는 예배자를 찾으시는 하나님 아버지께서, 우리의 예배를 통해 올려 드리는 모든 감사와 찬양과 영광을 기쁘게 받으실 줄 믿습니다.
We believe that Heavenly Father, who is looking for worshipers who worship with spirit and truth, will gladly receive all the thanks, praise, and glory that we offer through our worship.
지난 주에는 엡 1:15-23 을 통하여, 하나님으로부터 하늘의 신령한 복을 받은 에베소 교인들이 믿음과 사랑으로 충만함을 듣고 감사하며, 예수 그리스도를 살리시고 보좌 우편에 앉히셔서 이 세상과 오는 세상도 다스리게 하신 하나님은 그의 능력으로 우리에게도 주시는 풍성한 기업을 소망하며, 이 세상을 하나님의 충만함으로 채우며 살아야 함을 배웠습니다. 이번 주에는 엡 2:11-22 말씀을 통하여, 이렇게 하나님의 영광을 드러내며 살아야 할 교회가 어떻게 하나되어 세상에 화평의 복음을 전할 수 있을지 함께 보시면서 은혜 나눌 수 있기를 소망합니다.
Last week, through Eph 1:15-23, we have to live the life to fill the world with His fullness in the hope of richness of His inheritance, which God will give us by His power through which God raised Jesus from the dead and seated in the right hand to rule over the world. This week, through Eph 2:11-22, we may learn how His church can achieve unity in Him and reconcile the world to reflect His glory to the world.
1) 에베소서의 중심 주제는 그리스도 안에서 성취되는 우주적 화해로, 인간의 죄로 인해 단절된 하나님과의 관계와 인간들간의 관계가 그리스도 안에서 회복되고 완성되어 결국 하늘과 땅에 있는 모든 것들이 그리스도 안에서 통일될 것(엡 1:10)을 주제로 하고 있습니다. 즉 하나님은 그의 능력으로 그리스도를 죽은 자 가운데서 살리시고 그의 우편에 앉히사 만물을 통치하게 하셨듯 (엡 1:20-22), 그의 큰 사랑으로 인하여 허물과 죄로 죽은 진노의 자녀였던 우리를 그리스도와 함께 살리사, 그리스도 안에서 함께 하늘에 앉히시고 (엡 2:1-6) 예정하신대로 하나님과 화해하여 그의 자녀들이 되는 은혜를 주셨습니다.
The main theme of the Ephesians is the universal reconciliation in Jesus Christ so that the relationship between God and human being and between human beings may be recovered and completed and all things in the heaven and earth will be united in Jesus Christ (Eph 1:10), i.e., as the power of God raised Christ Jesus and seated Him in the right hand of God in the heaven to rule over all things (Eph 1:20-22), by His great love, God raised us who died in transgression and sin, in Jesus Christ, seated us with Him in the heaven (Eph 2:1-6) and reconciled with Him to be His children.
2) 이렇게 그리스도 안에서 하나님과 화해를 이룬 우리들은 또한 그리스도 예수의 피로 유대인과 이방인이 화평을 이루듯 서로가 하나가 되는 은혜를 입게 되는데, 그것은 그리스도 안에 지어진 새사람 (New Humanity) 때문(엡2:15)이며 또한 성령으로 말미암음(엡 2:18)이라고 말씀하고 있습니다. 이렇게 거룩한 하나님의 권속이 된 우리들은 사도들과 선지자들의 터 위에 그리스도 예수를 모퉁이돌로 하여 그 안에서 서로 연결되어 성전이 되어 가고 하나님이 거하실 처소가 되기 위하여 성령 안에서 함께 지어져 간다고 말씀하고 있습니다.
And we who were reconciled with God in Christ Jesus, are reconciled with others, as Jews and the gentiles had peace in His blood, in new humanity which was created in Jesus (Eph 2:15) and by the Holy Spirit (Eph 2:18). We who became His holy people were connected through Jesus Christ who become the cornerstone on the foundation of the prophets and the Apostles and have being transformed in the Holy Spirit to become His holy temple where God resides.
3) 오늘 본문 말씀을 통해서 몇가지 은혜를 나누기 원하는데, 첫번째로 우리들은 그리스도 안에서 지어심을 받은 새사람으로 하나가 될 수 있다는 사실을 기억해야 합니다. 우리가 옛사람으로 행하는 한 주 안에서의 하나됨은 이룰 수 없다는 것입니다. 자기 뜻대로 행하며 자기 능력과 자기 노력과 자기 지혜를 의지하는 옛사람이 아니라, 하나님의 은혜를 의지하는 아이와 같은 겸손한 새사람으로 해할 때 만이 우리는 그리스도 예수 안에서 하나가 될 수 있다는 사실을 기억해야 할 줄로 믿습니다. 그리고 두번째 우리는 성령 안에서 하나가 되어 아버지께 나아갈 수 있다는 사실을 기억해야 합니다. 그리스도 예수 안에 창조하신 새사람을 우리에게 적용시켜 주시는 분은 성령이시고 또 성령은 코이노니아의 영, 즉 함께 교제하게 하시는 영이시기 때문입니다. 그래서 우리는 늘 성령 충만함을 구하고 또한 성령 충만하도록 힘써야 하는 것입니다. 그리고 마지막으로는 우리의 모든 관계에 예수님께서 모퉁이돌이 되어야 합니다. 우리들의 관계 가운데 우리를 화평하게 하시는 분인 예수님을 모셔야 합니다. 그리고 우리 관계의 기준도 예수님이셔야 합니다. 스스로가 예수님 앞에서 낮아지지 않은 사람은 다른 사람과의 관계에서 낮아진 마음으로 서 있을 수가 없습니다. 예수님께서 우리들의 관계 사이에 들어오시면 각자는 예수님 앞에서 또 예수님 안에서 낮아져 서로가 서로를 낫게 여기고 서로를 존중할 수 있으며 그제서야 진정한 주님의 평화가 두 사람 사이에 임하기 때문입니다. 그래서 빌 2:1-5에서는 “그러므로 그리스도 안에 무슨 권면이나 사랑의 무슨 위로나 성령의 무슨 교제나 긍휼이나 자비가 있거든 마음을 같이하여 같은 사랑을 가지고 뜻을 합하며 한마음을 품어 아무 일에든지 다툼이나 허영으로 하지 말고 오직 겸손한 마음으로 각각 자기보다 남을 낫게 여기고 각각 자기 일을 돌볼뿐더러 또한 각각 다른 사람들의 일을 돌보아 나의 기쁨을 충만하게 하라”고 하면서 너희 안에 그리스도 예수의 마음을 품으라”고 했던 것입니다.
Through today’s Bible verses, we would like to learn few things. Firstly, we have to remember that only through new humanity which was created in Christ, we may be united as one, i.e., we cannot be the unity as long as we act in old-self. Instead of old-self who act in own will and rely on own capability, own effort and own wisdom, when we act in new-self who depends on God’s grace and acts humbly like as a child, we can become one in Christ Jesus. Secondly, we may proceed to God after being united in the Holy Spirit since the Holy Spirit may apply new humanity which Jesus created and is the Spirit of fellowship so that we have to ask for the fullness of the Holy Spirit and make an effort to be filled with the Holy Spirit. And finally in our all relationships, Jesus should be the corner stone. And we have to invite in our all relationships Him who reconciles us. And also we have to set Him as the standard of our relationship. The one who was not yet humble before Him cannot stand humbly before others. When Jesus enters in our relationship, both can become humble before Him so that they can respect each other and true peace will come upon them. Therefore, Paul exhorts in Php 2:15 that “So if there is any encouragement in Christ, any comfort from love, any participation in the Spirit, any affection and sympathy, complete my joy by being of the same mind, having the same love, being in full accord and of one mind. Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves. Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others. Have this mind among yourselves, which is yours in Christ Jesus”
4) 기도하옵기는, 사랑하는 우리 반석교회 성도들이, 성령을 통하여 예수님 안에 창조된 새사람을 덧입음으로 서로 하나되어 세상에 하나님의 거룩한 백성으로 살면서 하나님께 영광 돌릴 수 있기를 소망합니다.
I pray that His beloved Saints of Bansuk community may be united, being clothed with new humanity in Jesus through the Holy Spirit and live as His holy people in the world to the glory of God.

Q2 The Holy Spirit is called as the Spirit of Koinonia. The Greek “koinonia” which is translated as the “fellowship” means to participate in someone/something together, not meaning the fellowship for the social mingling or worldly pleasure. So the fellowship in 1 Cor 1:9 “God is faithful, by whom you were called into the fellowship of his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord” means the unity or solidarity through the participation in Him, i.e., His death and resurrection. I wonder how we can realize this kind of unity or solidarity in our group meeting? Could you share your thoughts or idea with your group member? 성령을 코이노니아의 영이라고 합니다. 그런데 “친교”라고 번역된 이 코이노니아는 친목을 목적으로 하는 그런 교제를 뜻하는 것이 아니라 “함께 공동의 무엇에 참여하는 것”을 뜻합니다. 그래서 고전 1:9 “너희를 불러 그의 아들 예수 그리스도 우리 주와 더불어 교제하게 하시는 하나님은 미쁘시도다”는 말씀에서 교제의 뜻은 너와 내가 그리스도 안에 즉 그리스도의 죽음과 부활에 참여함으로 이루어진 연합 혹은 연대를 뜻하는 것입니다. 이러한 연합이 여러분들의 모임에서 어떻게 구체적으로 이루어져야 하는지 한번 생각해 보시고 서로의 생각과 의견을 나누어 주면 좋겠습니다.
